Q: I don't read well. Can the examiner read the test to me?

A: No. However you may go the Drivers Ed Examining station in Miami or Claremore where a computer can read the question and possible responses to the testee.

Q: Where can I get an Oklahoma Driver Manual book?

A: Oklahoma has joined many states in reducing costs by eliminated a printed book when so many Oklahomans have access to the Internet.

Q: Can I get a printed version of manual? Students who register for any service of $100 or greater will receive the printed manual free of charge.

I can not charge for the books do they are not available for sale. You may download the book for free to a flash drive and print a personal copy at most stores for about $10 for the 97 page book.

Q: My daughter is 17 but still hasn't taken the first test yet. What do I do?

Collect her 3 documents.
Origional Birth certificate, origional SS card, reading and enrolled certified letter from the high school office.
Let her take the permit test now if you are ready to let her start driving you around.

Q: Does she have to have drivers Ed?
A: Your daughter will only be allowed to take the 25 question written test only on her first test because she is not 18. 18 year olds may take the written test and driving test on the same day.

When she passes the written test she will be able to drive with a 21+ driver and family. Max 1 friend. Must drive accident and ticket free for 6 months to get license.
If she receives a citation the 6 month period begins over.

Drivers Ed is a benefit to drivers not only because they will take their first driving steps in a controlled environment but also work on learning sing meanings and driving more alert. Plus the insurance discount for drivers ed benefits are extended well into adulthood.

Q: I don't have a break and you do, is that any reason I should call you?
A: Yes, absolutely. I can also drive anybody that already has a license or just needs some practice. The standard driving rate of $50/hr is applicable.

Yes. Additional driving time is $50./hr.
Just pick a time open on my M-F calendar. Txt me at 918-801-3978 to see if that time is ok to drive the additional hours.   Be Sure to check My Calendar for an opening. 

Yes. I can pick you up and drop you off while we are driving for $20 for all three drive dates. If you need me to pick you up or drop you off just once it is $5.

Q: What do I bring to the test?
A: New drivers need these documents.
1. Original state issued birth certificate.
2. Social security card.
3. Letter from school that you passed the 8th grade reading test. Same letter will also verify student status if under 18.
4. Drivers ED completion certificate from Certified Driving school if under age 16 is required.

Q: Where do I take the driving test?
A: The license examiner is in Grove Thursdays and Fridays from 9am-4pm at the Civic Center in Grove, OK.
At Grove, they give morning Written CDL & Class D Tests and after lunch give the Class D Skills Driving Test

Q: What time should I get there?
A: I have seen the line begin to form as early as 7:30 Am. I recommend, study my class notes and the highlights in the OK driver manual the night before. Get a good night sleep. Get in line by 8:20 if possible. Sooner if you done want to wait too long.

Q: Will I learn how to change a tire?

A: Yes. You will have to take the spare out of the trunk and put it on during the second classroom day. Don't wear nice close the second day. You will also be checking the car over including oil level.

Q: What do I need to bring to class?
A: Something to write on. Something to write with. A highlighter. Smartphone if you have one. Lunch money for McDonald's.
